Introduction to Risk & Risk Management
Risk, in varying degree, has been attendant on all human endeavor. The growth of enterprise has been accompanied by increasing complexity. More and more variables and as a consequence , more uncertainties have crept into major projects adding to risk. Financial components of such projects have great influence and resultantly great impact.

Furthermore, the accelerating pace of business fueled by the advance of technology and globalisation and the resulting competitiveness have added to the magnitude and intensity of risk . Ability to function within elevated levels of risk and preparedness to manage it has become a major determinant of success in enterprise.

The lack of risk awareness or inability to manage risk can have grave consequences. This is no better demonstrated than in the financial collapse and the global recession of 2008.

Despite the serious consequences of the inability to manage risk related with Finance and associated verticals and functions, there exists an alarming lack of risk awareness and risk management infrastructure, starting with risk management professionals, in corporates and financial institutions.

The Finance Function in a Corporate has the responsibility to

ISCOM’s Postgraduate Programme in Risk Management (PGPRM) is a 1-year, full-time certificate programme aimed at preparing Finance/Treasury executives with a sound grounding in risk management and its arithmetic so that they can provide timely and vital risk related inputs to organizations where they work. Such executives would find gainful employment in Corporate Finance departments as well as Financial institutions like banks, insurance companies and credit rating corporations.

The programme has been finalized with extensive consultation with the corporate world and a few Financial institutions.     Placement Policy :
    Dedicated placement assistance shall be provided by ISCOM to all students who qualify for the same. The terms for the same shall be elucidated in an agreement concluded by ISCOM with each student.
    Fees :
    Consolidated fees for the programme – 3.35 lacs

    The above fees comprise of tuition fees (includes tuition fees, usage of computer laboratory, library, provision of course material, uniform , outdoor management training and guest lectures), college accommodation, breakfast and lunch served on campus on working days and service tax @ 10.3% * . The fees also include Rs. 10,000/- refundable deposit.

    * Service tax may change if rate is changed by Govt.
    Certification :
    Qualifying candidates  will be awarded  certificates by ISCOM.
