• Dress:
1. All students will wear neat, clean and decent clothes in sober colours at all times. Dress code for all students will be as follows :
Mon – Thu :
Boys : Trousers, sober coloured shirts / T shirts with collar, shoes with socks.
Girls : sober coloured salwar suits / sarees / presentable slacks with sober tops, sandals.
Fri – Sat : Jeans and T shirts with sports shoes may be worn by all students.
• Formal Occasions : irrespective of the day of week, on all formal occasions Institute uniform will be worn. Name plates will be worn on the campus. While outside campus, I cards( once issued) will be worn with ribbon around neck. Prior to issue of Institute uniforms formal dress will be worn :

shirts & shoes with socks
Girls : sober coloured salwar suits / sarees & sandals.
*Note : T shirts will not sport vulgar or gaudy sketches or loud quotes and will be with collars.
2. During visits by guest speakers, while on important visits away from the campus and other formal occasions the 'formal dress' given to you will be worn. Instructions in this regard will be posted on the notice board from time to time.
3. In matters of propriety of dress the decision of the Director will be final and binding. Smoking/Chewing Tobacco/Pan masala/Consuming Alcohol/Chewing Gum -
4. Smoking, chewing of tobacco, gutkha/pan masala or chewing gum and consumption of alcohol on the ISCOM campus is prohibited.
5. Students are also advised to refrain from indulging in these habits when away from the campus.
Use of Cell Phones -
6. Use of cell phones on the campus is prohibited. Any active phones will be confiscated.
7. Students may use the nominated area on the terrace for making urgent calls during their class breaks. It will be ensured that cell phones are deactivated before re-entering the main floor to avoid confiscation.
Interpersonal Behaviour -
8. All students will ensure that they maintain cordial relations with their colleagues. Large number of activities will be conducted in groups. Active participation and cooperation is essential to achieve good results.
9. Inability to function effectively in a peer group may reflect adversely on the personality traits of the individual and harm his/her overall assessment and placement profile.
10. Students will not indulge in rowdy behaviour or use foul or abusive language. Men are expected to treat their female colleagues with courtesy and respect.
Discipline -
11. On joining you will be given a CD containing the Student Handbook. You will be expected to peruse the Handbook and comply with the instructions contained therein in letter and spirit. You will also be required to sign an undertaking relating to the Handbook as well as the Code of Conduct contained therein . The text of the undertaking is also provided in the CD.
Any violation of above instructions will attract punishment in the form of monetary fine and/or other penalties. In extreme cases expulsion from the Institute may also result. Breaches of discipline will be adjudicated by a committee appointed by the Director.
