Prof. Keshav Rae

Director
International School of Corporate Management

Dear Parents and Students,

I am proud to state that the students of International School of Corporate Management, when they finish are pictures of confidence. This is not by chance. We, at ISCOM expose the students to hard core academics, implemented in the mode of understanding through analysis and not by rote. Coupled with academics unrelenting stress is laid on discipline in personal and group behavior. This to our mind becomes total only when soft skills and communication skills are ingrained. In today's world of globalization and collaborations the above inputs are totally necessary, a student's performance largely depends on making the right choice for higher studies and before a student is enrolled, our counsellors make it clearly understood to the student as to what ISCOM will give you and what the student's responsibilities are. Similarly this becomes relevant when a student decides on his/ her specializations both major and minor. This is not self regulated or instinctive; the student is put through a scientifically conducted test which throws up the student's aptitude for deciding the specialization which will be most suitable.

For many students financing a full time Post Graduate Programme, including boarding and lodging may be one of the biggest hurdles. To take care of this, we have a tie-up with Bank of Baroda, country wide, to extend loan facilities, provided the Bank's conditions are fulfilled. Most of our students make use of this facility.

We also have Scholarships, which are given at the end of our courses, as total performance of the student is taken into consideration. Social service or living for others is our another emphasis. All students compulsorily, must participate in theses areas. It along with team games and programmes help them to learn the importance of working in a team, a bygone conclusion, when working with Corporates. We work closely, therefore, with Corporates, on initiatives like campus- connect, guest lectures (on weekly basis) industrial visits, work shops and in depth studies of corporates, all study tours abroad are targeted to familiarize the students with International Business Environment.

Education is knowledge assimilation; it has been our effort to bring in courses in niche areas of management, which are uncommon with any other Institute in the Country. For these courses the employability is high, demand is high but the supply is, indeed, very poor. Am happy to report that we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Elmwood College, St. Andrews, Scotland, UK for a Post Graduate Programme in Golf Management.

The course starts in July 2010; other courses for which the tie-ups are in advanced stages are a German University for Construction and Real Estate Management, and a British University for Aviation Management. In conclusion, may I say you, the student is our responsibility and we shall endeavor to give you the best, we possibly can. You shall be treated as an individual, and your qualities honed to make you a complete product of ISCOM.

Care and respect, you will get from us. Am positive that your experience at ISCOM will be a success. Frankly thats our reward. Seek awareness, Take care,

Yours Sincerely,

Prof. Keshav Rae
