Programme Structure of PGPCS
 
This 22 month program with dual specialisation will be covered over four terms. Classroom sessions will be held over sixteen weeks in each term.
 
Methodology :
The entire course will be covered through lectures, case studies, role plays, presentations and self study. Apart from this the students will be provided extensive inputs in soft skills, communication skills, GD, PI, yoga and meditation for spiritual and personality development. To facilitate learning each student will be provided with a Lap-top.
 
Term I :
Term I commences with induction to help students familiarize and get themselves acquainted with the ethos and environment of the ISCOM. In this term, students will be provided with inputs, mainly in areas of general / basic management as well as functional areas to enable them to opt for their major area of specialisation. Training in the chosen foreign language will start in this term and will continue over the subsequent three terms.

Term II :
Term II focuses on functional areas and lays the foundation for subjects in the relevant areas of specialisation. Apart from this the student is required to complete study in 2 subjects of his / her area of major specialisation. Summer Training of 8 weeks, which is included in this term, is compulsory for all students and carries equal weightage, same as the other subjects, for purposes of evaluation.

Term III :
Term III concentrates on the streams of major and minor specialisation wherein the student will study the remaining four subjects from the selected specialisation and three from the minor specialisation.

Term IV :
Term IV is reserved mainly for independent project work to be completed by students in keeping with guidelines given by the ISCOM and inputs from the faculty / guide. Significant subjects in management will be completed through classroom teaching in this term.

  • An International Study Tour is organised during the course.

    Financing your Studies :
    ostgraduate study is an investment in your intellectual development and your career potential. The search for funding at postgraduate level can be a time consuming one, and prospective students should start thinking at a very early stage as to how they intend to finance their studies.

    PGPCS course is approved for education loan by Bank of Baroda (all India Branches), assistance is provided by the ISCOM. ISCOM gives scholarships to deserving students, as per laid down criteria.
     
    Academic Evaluation :
    To be eligible for the award of the certificate in the Post Graduate Program, a student must fulfill academic cum attendance criteria of the Institute. There will be continuous evaluation through quizzes, assignments, presentations on a weekly basis, mid term exams apart from term end exams.
     
    Attendance :
    90% attendance is compulsory.
     
    Discipline :
  • Students are expected to maintain a high standard of conduct and discipline in keeping with the rules and regulations laid down by the School and infringement of normal codes of good conduct will make a student liable for disciplinary action.

  • Serious breaches of discipline like adopting unfair means in an examination, stealing, submission of false statements, addiction, etc could result in rustication or suspension from the school /denial of placement assistance facility.

  • Students are expected to be well dressed and in uniform provided by the ISCOM for guest lectures, campus interviews and other formal occasions.
